WWE WrestleMania 2015: Full Card Predictions After Fastlane

WWE WrestleMania 2015 will sit atop the foundation that Fastlane built.Feuds went from smoldering to aflame on Sunday's pay-per-view, with Stardust ambushing his brother and Rusev embarrassing John Cena.

Elsewhere on the show, Randy Orton returned, and Bray Wyatt laid out a clear challenge.

The road now heads straight for WWE's premier event, offering a battlefield for personal wars to conclude. When Fastlane ended on Sunday night, WrestleMania 31 had two official bouts: Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns and Sting vs. Triple H.

Randy Orton vs. Seth Rollins

Randy Orton stormed back at Fastlane.

After three months' worth of nursing the wounds Seth Rollins created, Orton charged into the ring to attack The Authority. That group had laid him out back in November; he tasted his first morsel of revenge on Sunday.

The Viper hit Kane and J&J Security with RKOs. He clearly wanted to hand one to Rollins as well. Mr. Money in the Bank escaped, though. That's because WWE is saving that moment for WrestleMania. The company had delayed Orton's return. Waiting until now to let him loose is clearly strategic. He begins the hunt for Rollins just as the lead-up to WrestleMania begins.

The match fans thought may come months ago is finally upon us, and Rollins now must face the wrath of a predator out of patience.

Bray Wyatt vs. Undertaker

It takes no crystal ball to see what WWE has planned for Bray Wyatt. The Eater of Worlds arrived at Fastlane inside a casket in a scene designed to mock Undertaker. After weeks of calling out no specific opponent, Wyatt finally uttered Undertaker's name. In his speech inside the casket, Wyatt promised to take Undertaker's soul.

WWE doesn't go down this narrative path without knowing Undertaker is ready to compete, without having decided that it will be Wyatt who next takes on The Deadman. The company steered away from Undertaker vs. Sting, the bout many fans demanded. Sting is busy with the COO.

Instead, a younger, hungrier man gets the chance to tangle with The Phenom.

Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

The tradition that began last year will again allow WWE to toss in Superstars for whom it has no other space. The Andre the Giant Battle Royal is where Sheamus will compete after his return. It's where The Miz and Damien Mizdow can continue to see cracks form in their partnership. This is where Dean Ambrose and Bad News Barrett's feud can find a spot on stage.

It would make sense to have those two battle it out one-on-one for the Intercontinental Championship, but the card is going to be crowded.

Brothers are warring, John Cena has a story of redemption ahead of him and WWE can't keep Daniel Bryan out of the lineup, as sticking him in the Battle Royal is asking for fans to hijack the show. It's not as if WWE has prioritized that title at WrestleMania, either. Per the history of +WWE , the IC champ has defended his belt just three times at the last 10 events.

Daniel Bryan vs. Dolph Ziggler

Daniel Bryan's loss to Roman Reigns at Fastlane leaves him in limbo. There is no clear rival for him to face. There is no marquee bout left to take.

As popular as Bryan is and as much as fans revolted over his not winning the Royal Rumble, failing to give him a decent consolation prize is not an option. Pitting him against Dolph Ziggler is a crowd-pleasing move. It's one that WWE has already teased.

Ziggler called out Bryan on Twitter. WWE spotlighted that online challenge on its website. That comes off as an endorsement of The Showoff's suggestion. It's one that makes sense. Ziggler doesn't have a dance partner, either. And even with only a short amount of ring time, WWE can be confident that these two men will flourish, making the most of their chance.

Paige and Charlotte vs. Nikki Bella and Brie Bella

The Divas Championship hasn't been a focus for WWE during WrestleMania.

A look back at past events, courtesy of the history of +WWE , reminds us that the Divas champ has defended the title just once in WrestleMania history. The last one-on-one Divas bout came back at WrestleMania 23.

Since then, the women have competed in Battle Royals or tag team matches. Expect that to happen again here, even if Paige and Nikki Bella showed off some excellent chemistry at Fastlane. The logical move would be to have Paige and Nikki go at it again, this time with some sort of stipulation to spice things up.

History says, though, that it will be a match that involves more women. It's a good time to have Charlotte come up from NXT to help Paige ward off The Bella Twins. WWE can introduce a fresh face and give both Bellas ring time.

Goldust vs. Stardust

Goldust pinned Stardust at Fastlane, setting off the man formerly known as Cody Rhodes. After Goldust rolled him up, Stardust charged at his brother backstage, hurling him into sound equipment.

It's clear that this feud is set to become more vicious and intense. That added bad blood will be just in time for WrestleMania.Stardust can get a big WrestleMania moment by knocking off his brother; Goldust can wrap up his career with the match fans have been waiting for.

WWE has made it clear where it's headed here. The family is set to fall apart as Stardust continues his trek down the road to insanity.

Tag Team Championship Fatal 4-Way

Cesaro and Tyson Kidd know firsthand how crowded the tag title picture gets come WrestleMania time.

Last year, Cesaro teamed with Jack Swagger in a four-team bout as part of WrestleMania's pre-show. At WrestleMania 28, Kidd and Justin Gabriel battled for tag team gold in a Triple Threat match that went on before the actual show.Expect them to see a mess of bodies in the ring again.

WWE will cram in The Ascension, The Usos and The New Day into a single match. If the company gave the teams better stories, it could go with just a traditional match with all the buildup a WrestleMania bout requires. WWE hasn't paid much attention to the division, though. It will instead opt for the excitement of chaotic, crowded action.

John Cena vs. Rusev (United States Championship)

The story cannot end with John Cena lying face-down on the mat. History tells us that the hero will rise. WWE is simply holding out to have Cena end Rusev's undefeated streak under the bright lights of WrestleMania.

Rusev won the first round of their series, knocking out Cena at Fastlane with The Accolade. Count on Cena getting his turn to celebrate victory next. This first bout acted as a way to entice for the second one. That's where the babyface will do his conquering.

Rusev is set to be in the spot Bray Wyatt was last year, the seemingly unstoppable heel Cena stops on the biggest night of the year.

Brock Lesnar Will Make or Break Roman Reigns at WWE WrestleMania 31

When Brock Lesnar defends the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 31, The Beast will have the future of the company in the palm of his massive hand.

Lesnar’s performance at WrestleMania will make or break Reigns as the top star in the WWE.

Over the last year, Lesnar has been booked as the most unstoppable force in the company. Whether it was beating The Undertaker to break the vaunted WrestleMania winning streak or taking down John Cena in the most lopsided fashion imaginable, the WWE world heavyweight champion is one of the most dominant forces in the history of wrestling.

Beating Lesnar would instantly catapult the man who accomplishes the feat into the upper echelon of Superstars due to the magnitude of the achievement. Lesnar and his advocate Paul Heyman understand the intricacies of the wrestling business, and they realize that the current champion controls how Reigns will be viewed by the company and the entire WWE Universe.

For this main event to be deemed a success, Lesnar must be the aggressor throughout the match. Reigns is still green in the ring, and while the Fastlane battle against Daniel Bryan was entertaining, Bryan is the one who did the majority of the heavy lifting in that bout.

At WrestleMania, Lesnar must be the one who controls the tempo, and he should be in control for most of the match. The champion is one of the legitimately toughest people to ever grace the sport, and it is conceivable that he would dominate the bout against Reigns early and often.

Just as Lesnar did against Cena and Seth Rollins in the three-way match at Royal Rumble, he understands when to be the aggressor and when he should be the man selling injuries and power moves from his challenger. If Lesnar wants to be cooperative and help WWE sell Reigns to the fans, telling a convincing story in the ring that makes the eventual title change believable will be the difference between an unforgettable WrestleMania and an undeserving main event.

With Heyman there to help both competitors craft the perfect in-ring story, there is no doubt that Lesnar and Reigns should have a great match that builds the challenger's credibility. Whether the current champion leaves WWE following WrestleMania or not, this is the company’s opportunity to cement Reigns’ spot as a top guy moving forward.

Lesnar has the raw physical power and in-ring intelligence to dominate Reigns, but his ability and willingness to make his challengers look strong even in defeat has made the champion invaluable to the WWE since his return.

Putting over Reigns would be the perfect way for Lesnar to pay backWWE for booking him as one of the strongest stars in recent wrestling history. Reigns will lean on Lesnar heavily in this match, and the result will be an intriguing WrestleMania main event.

Randy Orton Makes a Comeback to WWE; Will he Face Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 31?

Randy Orton has finally made his return to WWE. He appeared on Fast Lane to attack Seth Rollins, which has made people believe that he would face Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 31.The Viper made a stunning entry to WWE during Big Show, Kane and Seth Rollins (with Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury) vs. Dolph Ziggler, Erick Rowan and Ryback match. He tried to attack Seth Rollins, who escaped unscathed.
Randy Orton has been missing the action since November 2014. He was attacked by Seth Rollins on a Raw episode, which left with with an injured nose. This kept him away from action, even though he made appearances in Raw and Smackdown a few times.
It was also said that Randy Orton was suffering from deviated septum and was to undergo a minor surgery. Hence, he was taking a break from WWE. "The Condemned 2" movie shooting too kept him busy for a while.
However, now Randy Orton has returned to WWE with a bang. His entry and decision to attack clearly indicate that he would be taking on Seth Rollins in a deadly match at WrestleMania 31.
They have enough time to build up a good feud before clashing at WrestleMania 31, which will be held on 29 March at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

WWE Superstar Power Rankings for 2/23/2015: WWE Fastlane 2015 Edition

10. Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins started his week off on the wrong foot but turned it around and picked up
two much-needed wins.  On Raw, he lost to Dolph Ziggler via DQ when their match broke down, and J&J Security, who had been barred from ringside, returned and attacked Ziggler.
On SmackDown, he defeated Ziggler and then he and his allies proceeded to beat down Ziggler, Ryback and Erick Rowan.  It was much the same at Fastlane, when he teamed with Kane and Big Show against Ziggler, Ryback and Rowan.  His team won when Kane pinned Ziggler.

After the match, he and the rest of The Authority were beating down their opponents when Randy Orton made the save.  It now appears Orton has his sights set on Rollins.  Can Mr. Money in the Bank survive a returning Viper?

9. Dean Ambrose

Dean Ambrose got the match he wanted against Bad News Barrett, but it didn't end the way he wanted.  After defeating Luke Harper on Raw and forcing Barrett to sign a contract for a match at Fastlane on SmackDown, Ambrose had his shot.

He faced Barrett for the Intercontinental Championship at Fastlane and lost via disqualification.  The referee called the match after Ambrose refused to obey his orders.  Undeterred, Ambrose attacked Barrett and stole the IC title.  How will Barrett respond?

8. Cesaro and Tyson Kidd (with Natalya)

Cesaro and Tyson Kidd had emerged in recent weeks as the next challengers for The Usos' WWE Tag Team Championships.  They had scored wins over The Usos in singles and tag matches.  On Raw, the week started rough.  Kidd and Natalya lost to Jimmy Uso and Naomi.

But on Main Event, Cesaro defeated Jack Swagger in a good match.  On SmackDown, Kidd was set to face Jimmy Uso, but Rusev attacked both teams.

At Fastlane, Cesaro and Kidd overcame the up-and-down week and defeated The Usos to win the WWE Tag Team Championships.  The Usos will get their rematch, but when?  And what other teams are waiting in the wings?

7. Bad News Barrett

Bad News Barrett started off his week with a win over Damien Mizdow on Raw, but things went south on SmackDown.  He lost to R-Truth on a distraction by Dean Ambrose, who then bound Barrett's hands and forced him to sign an Intercontinental Championship match contract.

Barrett escaped Fastlane with a win when Ambrose was disqualified, but he was beaten down and had his title belt stolen.  What will Barrett do to get back his title?

6. Daniel Bryan

Daniel Bryan had the chance to main event WrestleMania for the second year in a row.  It was not to be, though.  He lost to Roman Reigns after a tough match at Fastlane, guaranteeing Reigns a spot in the main event, leaving Bryan searching for another opponent.

Bryan appeared to be closing in on a win in the match, but Reigns speared him out of nowhere to pick up the victory.  What's next for Bryan?  With no obvious feuds on the horizon, will he wander aimlessly, or will he choose a new opponent to face at WrestleMania?

Sheamus is returning, and the two do have a history...

5. John Cena

John Cena moves up a spot based on Daniel Bryan's fall.  Otherwise, Cena didn't have a good week.  His only match came at Fastlane, where he had the chance to win the United States Championship against Rusev, who has still never been pinned or submitted.

Cena never gave up, but when Lana distracted the referee, Rusev kicked Cena low and locked in the Accolade.  Cena, like many before him, passed out in the submission hold and lost.  Will he get another shot at Rusev?  Or will he have some soul searching to do after losing a big match?

4. Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt had been calling someone out the last few weeks, but no one knew exactly who it was.  It sounded like The Undertaker, but we couldn't be sure.  But now we are.

At Fastlane, The Undertaker's music played, the Druids appeared and a casket was rolled to ringside.  Bray Wyatt was inside, and he emerged, declaring his intention to take on The Deadman at WrestleMania XXXI.

Does Bray Wyatt stand a chance?  Can he beat Undertaker at his own game?  And when will we see a response from Undertaker?

3. Rusev (with Lana)

Rusev has still yet to be pinned or submitted WWE.  In his only match of the week, he faced John Cena at Fastlane, where he defended the United States Championship.  Cena was going blow for blow with Rusev, and Lana was beginning to worry.

She jumped into the ring in order to cause a distraction. With the referee looking elsewhere, Rusev kicked Cena low.  Rusev locked in the Accolade and made Cena pass out.  Will Rusev face Cena again, based on the circumstances of the finish?  Or is he done with Cena?

2. Brock Lesnar (with Paul Heyman)

Paul Heyman made an appearance at Fastlane on behalf of WWE world heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar, joining The Miz on MizTV to address Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan.  He expressed his respect for both Superstars but vowed Lesnar would defeat either one.

Now, Heyman and Lesnar know who will get a shot at the title: Roman Reigns.  The former Shield member is a powerhouse and will probably be able to give Lesnar a tough challenge purely from a strength perspective.  But at the same time, perhaps Lesnar is relieved that Reigns won.  The Beast Incarnate likely matches up well with Reigns, who sports a similar, power-move-centric style.

Is Lesnar going to do to Reigns what he has to so many others?  Or will the young lion overpower the former UFC fighter and claim the title?

1. Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns had a good week, to say the least.  He defeated Kane on Raw via count-out, in spite of Daniel Bryan's distractions, then defeated Luke Harper on SmackDown.  But the important match came at Fastlane.

After foolishly agreeing to risk his guaranteed shot to compete for the WWE World heavyweight Championship against Daniel Bryan (who defeated Seth Rollins to earn his chance against Reigns), he redeemed himself by taking care of business at Fastlane against a battle-tested former world champion.

It was a tough match, but he speared Bryan at the end, picking up a pinfall win.  Whether this silences his critics remains to be seen.  But he earned that win, battling with Bryan for about 20 minutes.  Now, he gets to focus solely on the task at hand: defeating WWE world heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania XXXI.  Can he get that win?

Daniel Bryan vs. Roman Reigns Feud Only Makes Brock Lesnar Look Stronger

File:Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman April 2014.jpg

It's the 2015 Royal Rumble (subscription required) and the announce team is slobbering over their headsets upon seeing Brock Lesnar.

"Oh man."

"Wow."

"That's scary."

Lesnar walks to the ring with purpose. He is being cheered by the same zealous fanbase that may have rioted had he broken the Undertaker's Wrestlemania streak in their building.

But almost one year later, Lesnar is over like God.It's simple consistency that elevated the WWE World Heavyweight Champion to such status. The formula's on his t-shirt.Lesnar is a model of simplicity down to his moveset. He spent an entire match suplexing John Cena and was regarded as a wrestling Mozart throughout. Everybody is committed to his role as WWE's premier conqueror. No smoke or mirrors needed.

WWE opted to punt simplicity in getting Roman Reigns to WrestleMania 31. There's now a chance that Daniel Bryan will either join or replace him in the main event.Reigns and Bryan are currently battling each other in an ambiguous game of one-upmanship. Both are playing the babyface, but in different shades. Bryan is the older, wiser fan favorite who plans tooutwrestle Reigns.Reigns is the young upstart looking to overpower Bryan both physically and figuratively.

The Fastlane main event between Bryan and Reigns is clearly a response to the downpour of Twitter rage following Bryan's Royal Rumble elimination.

Instead of placating angered fans, however, WWE is only confusing them.Who do they cheer for? Is Reigns the bad guy because the Reality Era is turning on him? Because he speared Daniel Bryan last week on Raw?

Is Bryan playing the heel? Bryan was eliminated from the Royal Rumble clean. Not only is he getting another shot, he's rubbing it in like he did in 2012.Such questions eventually lead to apathy, as fans are forced to consider so many unnecessary factors. There is much less to consider with Lesnar. Despite being paired with sinister manager Paul Heyman, he just beats people up in a straightforward fashion.

Fans are growing to appreciate him on the merits of performance, simple as it sounds. He is every bit the attraction WWE wanted him to be upon signing him in 2012. His aura is enhanced by seeming simply unstoppable. The ongoing peeing contest between Bryan and Reigns is only distancing their own fans. Neither is fighting a good fight. Both are out for their own agendas and are resorting to every gamesmanship cliche at their disposal.

During Reigns' match against Kane, Bryan served as a guest commentator and distracted Reigns with "Yes!" chants.Reigns followed up by giving away merchandise ringside during Bryan's match. Both matches ended as one would expect for such an overcomplicated feud: one count-out, one disqualification.

Since returning to WWE, none ofLesnar's matches have ended in disqualification. Such contrasts between Lesnar and WWE's top two babyfaces make Lesnar—not Reigns or Bryan—seem like the true hero.
